Venue & Arrival

Club Address: 50 Colombo Street, Christchurch

To ensure everyone has space, please follow our parking guidelines:

Cars: Please use the Colombo Street entrance.
Vans: Please use the Hunter Terrace entrance or park directly on Hunter Terrace.

The kitchen and bar:

The kitchen and bar will be open during the tournament!
Your team will be supplied with lunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Tournament Timeline

May 1st: Ruling of protests advised to all team managers.
May 22nd: Grading list run to determine final playing orders.
May 25th (4pm): Deadline for written substitution requests to the Tournament Director.
May 25th: Draws, team lists, and Day 1 order of play sent to managers.
May 29th (11am): Managers Meeting in the CSRC lounge.
May 29th (12pm): Play Starts!
May 31st: Prize-giving (immediately following the final matches).
May 31st (7:30pm): The After Party!

Tanya Laurence Sportsmanship and Values Award

This is awarded on behalf of the Laurence Family. In 2020 we lost a great well known and incredibly liked and respected squash player, Tanya Laurence. The Mitchell Cup was Tanya's most favourite tournament in the calendar. The trophy will epitomise what Tanya stood for as a player, competitor, and friend.

The Tanya Laurence Sportsmanship and Values Award to be presented at Cousins Shield/ Mitchell Cup to the individual who displays the following:

Visibly lifts their game for their team - a total team player.
Has integrity both on and off the court.
Shows true sportsmanship to their team members, opponents, and referees.
Demonstrates a genuine love for the game and especially this event.
Has a true sense of fellowship with their competitors.

Social & After Party

The tournament concludes with our official After Party starting at 7:30pm on May 31st!

Theme: Movie characters!
Food: Served from 5pm to 8pm.
Drinks: Take advantage of our drinks special! $70 for 10 drinks. Purchase from the bar.
Entry: Tickets are required for the party. If you haven't secured yours yet, please purchase them from the bar.
