SquashNZ Affiliation Invoicing & Info 2023

Dear Club Presidents / Manager

In the next few days, you will be receiving your invoice for 2023 affiliation fees covering the period from 1 January to 31 December. As indicated in December 2022, after two years of frozen charges we have needed to increase national affiliation fees by 7% in 2023 to ensure we can operate and continue implementing our strategy to grow the game of squash and add value to clubs. Your district will have communicated with you directly any changes relating to the district portion of your affiliation. As part of the on-going development of the new affiliation model set to launch in 2024, we have continued to use the frozen grading and SEM figures from 2020, now for a final time. Full details of the new affiliation model including costs will be released to clubs and members in July. The new model will also now only feature two different income streams coming from ‘club’ affiliation, and ‘player’ subscriptions. Development of the proposed activity fee has been put on hold for the initial release of the new model and MySquash, with the income due to be generated from this income stream now to be incorporated into the player subscription. Exciting progress is being made with the development of MySquash with some features being available for user testing in July. We are sure those who have already made the transition to Hello Club in advance of the MySquash release at the start of 2024 will be enjoying all the benefits of reduced club administration and spending more time giving members a great squash experience. Please also see below a link to view our 2022 Annual Report which highlights a lot of our work and in particular proudly highlights a 10% increase in club membership over the last two years. We look forward to working with you over the next year as a key focus is to enhance club capability.

Kind regards Martin Dowson Chief Executive Squash NZ
